Girls and parents will be familiar with the idea that the Staff List includes the various degrees and diplomas that the staff have passed to qualify them to do their jobs.

However, it is quite rare for members of the school to have ‘letters after their names’. But two Sixth Form girls now have DipABRSM after their names after passing their diploma examinations in Violin Performance. Alycia Jewes of Year 12 and Ariane van Hoof of Year 13, both Music Scholars, had to prepare a 30 minute recital, write programme notes and then withstand an oral examination on their choice of pieces and what they had said about them.
