The Year 9 Opera is a favourite and long-established Putney institution. This year the choice is Rossini’s Barber of Seville, in which Figaro’s schemes bring about a happy ending for Count Almaviva and Rosina. The Year 9 Orchestra will play the overture after which the singing will be accompanied by the piano, with everyone singing in the chorus.
