Downing Street match

The girls, along with Ella's brother Joseph, were in Downing Street as part of the 1GOAL campaign (www.join1GOAL.org) which promotes education for all.

They met South African President Jacob Zuma and had breakfast with Steven Gerrard and South African football captain Aaron Mokoen. They also met Sarah Brown and South Africa's first lady, Thobeka Zuma.

There are 72 million children worldwide without access to an education. As South Africa prepares to host the first ever World Cup on African soil, the 1GOAL campaign hopes to put pressure on governments to meet promises to the world's children.

Ella and Tatiana made the most of a fantastic opportunity - even managing to sit in Gordon Brown's chair at the Cabinet table as well as watching President Zuma playing football on the Downing Street terrace.
