Eight Putney girls have been selected for a prestigious programme designed to fast track them to the national lacrosse team.

The girls from Years 8 and 9 follow in the footsteps of three Year 11 students, who have recently been promoted from the Regional to the National Centex programme.

It is from this National Centex that Sophie Allan was selected to train with the U19 England World Cup Squad.

Likewise, the programme has catapulted Isabel van der Linden into the national spotlight and she has been named co-captain of the U17 National Centex team. Isabel will travel to Hanover, Germany, to play in a tournament this summer.

Sophie and Isabel are joined on the National Centex by Sophie Moss.

This individual success comes as lacrosse at Putney goes from strength to strength with teams achieving at national and county level.
