Prior to the final all the girls from Reception to Year 6 had learnt and recited a poem or passage of prose in front of their year group.  Four girls were then selected from each year (one girl from each house) to go forward to the final.  The two judges were amazed at the confidence, expressiveness and sheer sense of enjoyment the girls were able to exude in their performances and had a very difficult task in selecting three winners, who can be seen smiling proudly in the photograph.  The winning house was Johnson.
