Physical Education

GymnasticsPutney has earned a reputation for excellence in sport across the school.  Each term has a full extra- curricular fixture list and squads regularly compete and achieve success in regional and national level competitions.  The school also promotes a ‘sport for all’ policy which encourages participation of all pupils in a variety for enjoyment and fun.

The schools facilities plus additional off site grounds enables a wide range of sports to be played and allowed further extension of both the curricular and extra- curricular activities on offer.

All girls have lessons in netball, lacrosse, gymnastics, tennis, rounders and athletics.  Additional extra-curricular clubs are activities which include dance, badminton, trampolining, cross-country, fencing and rowing. The girls compete in netball, lacrosse, cross-country and gymnastics during the winter terms and tennis and athletics during the summer.
