I hate politics, Zac Goldsmith told students at Putney High School.

The Conservative Party candidate was explaining how he could understand the apparent disenfranchisement from politics among today’s young people.

Mr Goldsmith, pictured with Putney's Mock Election Conservative candidates, was challenged by sixth formers on a range of issues, including recent headlines about his tax status.

His visit will be followed by similar events featuring candidates from the Liberal Democrat and Labour parties.
