Putney girl to play in World Cup

The school beat off tough competition to be named one of the top 12 lacrosse teams in the country. The success comes as co-captain Sabine van der Linden celebrates being selected for two national lacrosse teams.

Sabine will be representing Holland in the Senior Lacrosse World Cup in Prague this June. And she is part of the England training squad for the 2010 Under 19 World Cup.

She said: “I’m really excited about playing for Holland in the World Cup in June. It’s a tremendous opportunity for me, though a bit scary! Our first two matches are against Korea and Ireland and then we will see how the draw unfolds from there.”
