Helen Fraser interviewPutney girls put their questions to the CEO of the Girls Day School Trust, Helen Fraser

Six girls from the Junior Department and two sixth formers got together to hold a Q and A video conference with Mrs Fraser.

Wearing hats and badges labelled press officer, the younger girls from the Junior Department's Press Pack were joined by sixth formers Emma Digby and Lily Blacksell, editors of the school's newspaper, as they conducted the interview via video calling.

Helen Fraser interviewMrs Fraser discussed what it’s like to be the CEO of the GDST, describing one of the biggest satisfactions as ‘being taken around schools by girls.’ She said: ‘I love hearing girls talk and I also really like meeting the staff, talking to the Head and just seeing what the schools are like.’

Of Putney she said, ‘It’s an incredibly successful school and this year has raised its A Level achievement even higher - so I think Putney is a school that never stops striving to do better.’

She also gave the girls an insight into what books she likes to read, and her interest in literature as well as spilling the beans on what it was like meeting the Queen earlier this year, when receiving a CBE for her services to publishing.
