Putney High School has earned a national reputation for sport. We provide quality teaching and a breadth of opportunity for every pupil. We adopt a sport for all approach, encouraging all girls to participate and enjoy sporting activities regardless of ability.
At the same time, we support and nurture elite performers, with girls competing at the highest levels in county and national competitions.
Each term has a full extra-curricular fixture list and squads regularly compete and achieve success in regional and national level competitions, particularly in gymnastics, netball and lacrosse. In the Spring Term more than 100 girls perform in our annual dance show. Every year Putney girls represent London in athletics and cross-country as well as competing for Surrey in lacrosse.
