The India Exchange!

The India Exchange grand finale was celebrated this week as girls from the MGD School joined girls from Putney to stage a series of fantastic songs and dances to celebrate the time they have spent together and thank their host families.

The group was joined by Highness Rajmata Gayatri Devi who was the third Maharani of Jaipur from 1939 to 1970 and who is currently known as the Queen Mother of Jaipur - having led an extraordinary life and been an extremely successful politician.

After some incredible and colourful dance displays from MGD Girls and some beautifully performed songs and gymnastic displays from Putney High School girls, the group all received gifts and thanked girls, staff and families for their exchange. Their tour has included taking in London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Shakespeare's Globe, The Tate Britain and St Paul's Cathedral. The girls even had chance for a whistle-stop tour of Brighton.

The girls leave this afternoon but have enjoyed their time at Putney thoroughly and will be welcoming a group of girls and staff to their MGD school in Jaipur in October.
