Baroness Wilkins, a member of the House of Lords, visited Putney High School to give a talk to students about her life as a peer and the workings of the House of Lords. A large number of sixth formers attended the talk and afterwards participated in a Q & A session.
The visit was part of the ‘Peers in Schools’ programme, which operates across the UK to raise awareness of politics by bringing Members of the House of Lords to schools to debate with young people.
