Putney High School has welcomed Mrs Kirsty von Malaisé as Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Mrs Jo Wallace as Head of the Junior School.
Mrs Kirsty von Malaisé joins the school from Francis Holland School, Sloane Square, where she was Head of English and also ran the PSHE curriculum. Mrs von Malaisé said: ‘I have been impressed by the Putney ‘buzz’. Staff are dedicated to exploring beyond the curriculum and giving the girls the best all-round education. Putney’s strong sense of community is apparent.’
Mrs Wallace comes to Putney from another GDST school, Shrewsbury High School, where she was Head of the Pre-Prep – as well as an old girl. A trained musician, Mrs Wallace said: ‘ I am particularly delighted to hear the famous Lytton House choir and am impressed with the standard of the orchestra. There is a huge amount of exciting, stimulating activity on offer and girls seem to grab every opportunity going.’
Headmistress Dr Denise Lodge said: “Jo and Kirsty join at an exciting time for Putney, as we embark on improvements to the Junior School including playground, music suite, Early Years outdoor learning and prepare to open our state-of-the-art new Sixth Form Centre.”
