Welcome to Lytton House, the Junior Department
The Junior Department, Lytton House, provides a happy, secure and encouraging environment where girls gradually acquire a range of skills and grow in confidence. A warm relationship is established with each family so parents and staff work together throughout the girls' years at Lytton House.
A cross-curricular approach to learning is adopted and many visits to places of interest, concerts, museums, art galleries and theatres are included. Wide opportunities capture the girls' unlimited enthusiasm and enable them to explore and extend their natural talents.
At lunchtime and at the end of the school day the girls enjoy clubs, rehearsals and games practices. The Junior Department has earned a reputation for success in music, netball, tennis, gymnastics, chess, and writing skills in local, county and national events. The Lytton House choir has regularly been invited to perform at the Royal Festival Hall and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham - exhilarating and memorable occasions for all taking part.
The girls are encouraged to develop awareness and understanding of those around them and enjoy taking part in events in the local community and raising funds for local and national charities. We hope they will become caring and considerate individuals, willing to play their part in protecting the people and natural resources of the world.
Lytton House is equipped with a Hall, specialist Science facilities, an Art/CDT Studio, a large ICT suite and a large and popular Library.
