Issey: Initially I had already packed for the residential trip to Hooke Court quite a few days before. It was essential that I packed all the required items due to the fact this was going to be the first proper time I had ever been away from home. I was anxious and excited at this point.
Daisy: For me, the first activity was making candles which required patience moving the wick in and out of melted wax and cold water. As a consequence, my arm was aching by the time I had to start my brass rubbing. After making an image of a knight praying, it was time to race our boats on the moat. Unfortunately, my team came last due to a design fault in our boat. Then, it was my turn to cook. Together with Rosie from 4H, I made gingerbread. If there had been a taste competition, I think we might have won.
Sophie: After lunch we got into our Tudor costumes and did Tudor school. We made leather pouches, did Tudor weaving and Tudor writing which was really hard after we did our Tudor writing we also got it sealed which was cool and if you finished your leather pouch early you got to make a pomander.
