Pastoral care is of great importance to all the staff at Putney High School. We regard ourselves as being in a three-way partnership with parents and girls to provide guidance and care on a daily basis. Channels of communication are always open for parents and girls to raise questions, queries and problems. We aim to deal quickly and respond sensitively to the girls’ needs.
Each girl has a Form Tutor - an academic member of staff who is responsible for her care and welfare. Tutors listen to each girl and try to resolve any issues that arise.
Year 12 and 13 students have the same Form Tutor throughout their A Levels. Form Tutors get to know the girls very well and see them every morning for registration and form time and every afternoon, so they are always alert to their different needs and personalities.
