Life Skills

girls at work in PHSE lessonsLife Skills is an important part of the curriculum at Putney High School.  Girls are taught Life Skills by their Tutors, with the addition of specialist speakers representing the health professions, careers guidance specialists and others with specific expertise.

The Sixth Form follow a  programme based on visiting speakers and specialists.  They also have time set aside for the discussion of personal, social and health issues, and to consider their views on these as they mature into young women who will leave home for university and become more independent.

Assemblies

The girls’ personal development is also enhanced through assemblies where topics of a spiritual, moral, social or cultural theme are explored.  Every form in the school prepares and presents an assembly each year, assisted by the Tutor, where they are able to explore one topic in more depth.
