Rowing to Success! The Rowing Club’s season ended in victory at Kingston Regatta with two event wins and three second places, a fantastic achievement at this major event and a fitting end to a year of dedication and commitment from the increasingly successful rowing club.
This very successful end to the season was a fitting reward to a year of hard training and dedication for all the girls, and again demonstrated the value of the rowing club’s new racing boats. The new Quadruple Scull has won five events in its first year, and a newly delivered FOPHS-funded single achieved the first win in a Single Sculling event for years. As most of the Year 9 and 10 rowers went straight from Kingston to a week-long training camp we can expect that these boats will see more success in 2007-8.
