Iceland visit
A group of 17 Putney High School girls from Years 11-13 have returned from a geography trip to Iceland with some amazing memories and stories to tell both classmates and parents.

The five-day trip, which took place over the half term break, saw girls taking in many wonderful sights including exploding geysers, a retreating glacier, the mid-atlantic ridge (where the two continents of Eurasia and North America are moving apart) and many waterfalls.

The trip also involved a nightime visit to the infamous 'Blue Lagoon' - a geothermally heated, silica mud-rich pool.

On the final day, girls took a boat trip around the south-west coast where several dolphins and even a whale were sighted nearby.
