Putney High School - Music Festival

Music to our ears: The Music Festival has proved a fantastic showcase for Putney musicians from both the Junior and Senior department this week.

ImageThe annual Lytton House Valentine Music Festival took place over two days.  With over 140 entries from Year 1 up to Year 6, the school was treated to a real feast of music making.

ImageMany orchestral instruments were featured including bassoon, oboe, trumpet and double bass. The girls worked very hard to prepare some stunning performances, both solo, duet and ensemble items. Mr Gregory Wheeler gave encouraging feedback to the girls, in his role as the festival’s adjudicator.

In the Senior Department, all House Choir Conductors and finalists did fantastically well and contributed to a memorable day of music-making. Highlights were the Advanced Instrumental Solos and the Barbershops, but all the finals were terrific.
