Building Bridges
Year 9 Winners!Building Bridges - Rotary Club Technology Competition.

Four teams from Year 10 and Year 9 represented Putney's Design Technology department at the annual South West London Rotary Club Technology Tournament at Wandsworth Town Hall.

 The tournament was divided in two categories: junior and intermediate level. In the intermediate challenge both Year 10 groups built marvellous bridges with complex mechanisms. With limited resources the Year 9 groups completed the junior level challenge with ease. After demonstrating the strength of their bridge, a team of Year 9 girls won the junior level event. They built a sturdy bridge with an excellent portfolio of ideas. The young construction engineers from Putney beat five teams of boys to win!
